Imprinted concrete driveways are created by a layer of concrete being poured onto a suitable sub-base. A colour is applied, as well as a colour hardener, whilst a pattern of your choice is pressed into the concrete before it sets.

Concrete is more resistant to solvents (such as petrol and oil) than tarmac drives, and can handle heavy loads over extended periods of time (such as a vehicle) better than block paving driveways. Unlike Resin Bound driveways, Imprinted Concrete is not a porous material so drainage may need to be installed onto the driveway to reduce the risk of flooding.
